This is a full-time position, but we're happy to consider a 9-day fortnight or adjusted start and finish times for the right candidate.
The opportunity
As the People and Culture Coordinator, you'll be part of an exciting transformation journey under the guidance and mentorship of our People and Culture Manager. Your creative yet pragmatic insights will be valued, and you’ll be mentored across a variety of People and Culture initiatives.
You will be a key member of a small team located at our Belmont, WA location servicing all our offices across Western Australia. This role is ideal for someone who are in the early stages of their career, with a bit of experience under their belt, eager to develop their skills and receive guidance and mentoring along the way. Your responsibilities will be across the entire spectrum of People & Culture, Work Health & Safety and Recruitment including:
- coordinate and support staff training and development
- coordinate internal training and development programs
- act as chief fire warden in times of emergency evacuation
- take ownership of workplace safety administration initiatives
- assist with reviewing and maintaining policies and procedures
- co-ordinate onboarding and induction administrative processes
- delivering engaging, informative onboarding training experiences for new staff
- delivering project support to the People and Culture Manager on various initiatives
- provide support in people and culture matters including employee relations
- providing administrative support to the People and Culture Manager
- support end-to-end recruitment and talent sourcing with discretion
- assist the People and Culture Manager to ensure legal compliance
- maintenance of databases, mailboxes, various data-entry duties
- drafting documentation as needed

We are looking for a candidate who:
- has a can-do approach
- is meticulous in data handling
- has a track record as a collaborative team player
- can lead WHS site inspections, first aid and other WHS matters
- holds tertiary qualifications in Business, Human Resources or related field
- is confident in their writing skills, with sound grammar and language proficiency
- demonstrates proficiency in interpreting legislation and policies /willing to develop in this area
- exercises initiative, discretion, sound judgement and a high level of professionalism at all times
- is passionate about recruitment and open to grow their skills in this area to support the People and Culture Manager to find and retain top talent
- consistently delivers excellent customer service, likes to think outside the box and have strong problem-solving skills
- displays solid organisational and planning skills having the ability to manage varying workloads and priorities while maintaining a high level of quality
